The
Lovibond color values based on comparison with 84 glass standards of
different optical densities (neutral N) and color (Red, Yellow, Blue). The colored glasses have been drowned out by Stepped lightly to fully saturated. The
color filters (R, Y, B), and neutral density filter (N) are provided to
match combined hue and brightness of the product sample, the result is a
set of lenses which define the RYBN Lovibond ® color (RYBN units). Since in this process millions of filter combinations are possible, can be determined for almost any color. Applications are mainly food oils and fats as well as chemicals or pharmaceuticals.
The
Lovibondfarbzahl today is determined in food oils and photometrically
with here mainly two solid reds and yellows are measured. In general, the color of food oil is numerically indicated in yellow Lovibond and Lovibond red.ICUMSA color numberRBU (Reference Base Unit)

ICUMSA the Internet
The
ICUMSA describes a photometric method for color measurement of filtered
sugar solutions and is a measure of the purity of the sugar in
solution. Measured the transmission of the sample at a known concentration of sugar (Brix value). The measurement Elle length is specified with 420nm for white and light colored sugar, and with 560nm for dark sugar. The ICUMSA color value is specified in RBU. The lower the value in ICUMSA RBU whiter the sugar.
Example:
Sugar with a value of 46 ICUMSA RBU called a pure white sugar highest quality. Sugar with a value of 150 ICUMSA RBU denotes a darker sugar with lower quality.SAK436nm
SAK436nmDIN EN ISO 7887-3
The
SAK value - Spectral absorption coefficient describes the yellow color
of water in the drinking water, wastewater, and process water treatment.
The measurement range is specified m-1.(Absorbance per meter thickness [Ext / m]).
This measurement is typically used for monitoring of water treatment processes.More color numbers
